Gerrish Jewelers is a modern, clean website built to help a long-standing local jeweler showcase products, services, and trust without noise or clutter.
The project wasn’t just about launching a pretty site — it was about giving the owner a system they can use, update, and grow with confidence. That’s why it includes a private dashboard where content, inventory highlights, and site details are easy to manage without a developer.
Most small business websites end up being:
Hard to update
Fragile if someone touches them
Dependent on the original developer for small changes
Built as a “one-off” with no system behind it
For a retail business like a jeweler, that means missed opportunities — outdated service info, hard-to-manage galleries, and no clear place to make quick edits.
This project was built to avoid all of that.
Instead of treating the website and content management as separate problems, we built a cohesive system:
A fast, responsive Next.js frontend that looks great on phones and desktop
A Headless CMS powering headlines, images, services, and featured products
A custom private dashboard where the owner can:
Update hero images, service text, and testimonials
Add or adjust featured pieces
Manage basic SEO and page content
Track simple engagement metrics
Everything is structured so the business owner doesn’t fear making changes — they can do it themselves, and the system scales with them.
A website is not “done” the day it launches. It needs:
Updates
Trustworthy editing workflows
A simple place to manage content
A backend that doesn’t break when someone clicks something
Gerrish Jewelers shows what you get when a modern site is built as an infrastructure you can rely on, not a fragile brochure you’re afraid to touch.
Next.js (App Router)
Headless CMS for content
Custom private admin dashboard
Hosted and maintained with ongoing support
If you want a website that behaves like part of your business — not a project that sits on a shelf — this is the kind of work I build and manage.
